Water heaters
have evolved to something much more than just a big pot of water
on a burner. The traditional atmospheric vent gas tank and electric
tank heaters are still available but now you have choices. But
just how Green is Green?
Some new tankless models
may be actually be less efficient than the old heater you currently
have in your home.
Which is best
for you?
There is no one answer,
much depends on the size of your home, the condition of your
water, the condition and size of you plumbing supply system,
if you have a drilled well or sand point, available floor space
and the volume of combustible air available. New tankless heaters
also need to factor the incoming water temperatures and pressures.
Do you have a manufactured
or mobile home with a gas water heater that needs replacing?
You'll probably need to purchase a direct vent water heater.
The sale heaters at the home center stores are not designed for
closed spaces and can be a hazzard if used.
